A Reverence For Wood

Lovely video about the art and philosophy of George Nakashima (1905-1990), internationally acclaimed woodworker, architect, and leader of the American craft movement. One of the longer videos that I have posted (12:21), but Nakashima is such a great craftsman, and such an interesting character - and it is Friday. Take the time to watch this. [NOTE: Go here for a nice overview of the Nakashima Woodworker, S.A. philosophy. Or here for a beautiful profile of George Nakashima from Dwell magazine].
