Although I enjoy taking pictures, I am neither a photographer nor a videographer.  I am a tropical ecologist, a dedicated forester, and a fledgling Zen student. I work at the New York Botanical Garden as a member of the Science staff, manage forests in various parts of the world, and sit at the Empty Hand Zen Center.  I have witnessed some truly marvelous things during my travels, many of which were documented (more or less) on film.  This site is an attempt to share some of the wonder of these encounters.  Thus, I have seen...
