July 4th Cupcake

Amy (see World's Best Carrot Cake) got up early this morning and made cupcakes for the 4th of July. Basic recipe is here, but she made a few modifications. The resultant cupcakes were not only delicious, they were also a patriotic red, white, and blue. [NOTE: Given that it was a holiday, I ate several].
