Washer and Drier

This one requires a little background information. We are taking care of some flooding in the basement of our 100 year-old house, and as part of this, a construction crew is ripping up the old concrete floor and pouring a new one. The question arose about what to do with the washer and drier. The guys could carry them out of the basement, but where would we put them for a couple of days? We thought about putting them in the back yard under tarps, but the workers were worried they someone might steal them.

The solution they finally came up with was to leave the washer and drier in the basement - but to get them off the floor. Ingenious.
