Machacados

One evening during my last trip to Chetumal we went out to eat machacados, a local frozen delight made from mashed-up fresh fruit, (lots of) sugar, and shaved ice. What a delicious confection.  Go here for other food marvels in Chetumal. [NOTE: Mine is the one on the left made from cantelope (melon); Toño ordered the mango (on the right).  I specifically asked for only 1.5 spoonfuls of sugar in mine - rather than the three normally added].
