Got a visa letter (finally) from the WCS office in Yangon yesterday. Filled out the paperwork, got some passport photos, and went to the Myanmar consulate on 77th Street this morning. I was there when they opened at 9:30 AM. Will still be close. My flight to Yangon leaves at 8:00 PM next Friday evening; I was told that the visa "would probably be ready" at 2:00 PM that same day. Gulp. [NOTE: Am thrilled to be returning to Myanmar].
